SeaTrees is a non profit organization that plants trees in the sea. This organization plants, protects, and restores blue carbon coastal ecosystems around the world to reverse climate change. They develop coastal restoration projects, also known as blue carbon projects, across five ecosystem types: mangrove forests, kelp forests, seagrass meadows, coral reefs, and coastal watersheds.
SEATREES - KELP US
This campaign is specifically focused on their project to restore kelp forests, spread awareness, and information to the world. The kelp forests need our help so it is important that people are informed about why we need kelp, why it is important to restore it, and how they can help.
KELP US!
POSTER SERIES
This campaign is all about kelp and how to help. My approach was to take a fact about kelp that is important for people to know, and pair it with intriguing visuals that will catch their eye.
This campaign is all about kelp and how to help. My approach was to take a fact about kelp that is important for people to know, and pair it with intriguing visuals that will catch their eye.
My strategy was to use non kelp related imagery to draw the audiences attention, and have the imagery reflect the fact and purpose of kelp restoration. I also wanted the imagery to pair up with a fact on the infographic, and have real life representations of them. The illustration also aligns with the attributes of the infographic.
POSTER MESSAGE
The message of the posters are to get across the many reasons people should contribute to kelp restorations, and all the things that kelp effects.

INFOGRAPHIC
My approach for the infographic is to represent each important fact with an image that visually aligns, and create a colorful underwater kelp scene. The infographic facts and imagery are aligned with the poster series to create a cohesive informational campaign, that spreads awareness and inspires people to get involved.
